Through the God given musical gifts and talents, I hope to spread the message of God’s Word. The Gospel message is so important and to be spreading it through the music of The DisChords band is an uplifting experience. “Open my eyes that I may see.” As these songs are presented here, hopefully somebody’s light will be turned on and they will find that there is a better life to live. Preforming tunes over the years has been fun, but now doing these songs of praise has opened my eyes and heart. Have fun with the music and dig the message.

My first experience with singing in public was when I was in the 3rd grade and sang “The Chocolate Ice Cream Cone” for a school program. I remember being very nervous; a trait that I continue to experience. Music has always played a large part in my life. It serves as a way for me to relax, to express my moods and feelings, and to share a message about my belief in God, in a meaningful and fun way. Playing my guitar and singing with The Dischords is very fulfilling for me, and I hope our music provides you, the listener, with something similar to what I feel. God’s blessings to each of you.

“Whether then you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” I COR 10:31
“And since we have gifts that differ according to the grace that given to us, let each exercise them accordingly.” ROM 12:6
Having played in many churches, I have observed the Lord’s people serving well; one in this and another in that. I give thanks to the Lord for planting me in The DisChords, for doing my little part in the body of Christ. “Maranatha” (“The Lord is coming”). We will all be glad when we stand before the Lord, having been faithful in what He had us doing when He says, “Well done good and faithful servant.”

Family and music are the most important parts of my life. Having a love for music, I’m blessed to have the opportunity to be a small part of sharing the love for music with others. It has been a rewarding experience for me to be a part of The DisChords.

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a musician. But I never would have guessed that I would be singing in a Bluegrass/Gospel band and learning how to play fiddle at this time in my life. There’s something about this music that just grabs hold of you and won’t let go. I love it! And I am humbled by these talented men that are in the band. They’re the best! They’re not only talented, but kind, generous and very funny. I love them all. It’s great to be able to share God’s message of love through music. It really gives meaning and purpose to my life. I feel that God is calling us to reach out to others and “make a joyful noise” one note at a time. And I thank Him every day for this wonderful opportunity.
